Materials needed:
|
| 1. Gather at least 4 foot long pretty sturdy looking twigs. (If you gather these early, you can wash them and set them out to dry, if not knock and shake them a little to get off any outside critters or dirt.) | |
| 2. Bind the twigs together about 3 inch’s from the top. You may use, string, a rubber band, yarn. | |
| 3. Adjust the twigs so they form a tepee shape by pulling them out in different directions. | |
| 4. Get a piece of paper. Hold your paper next to one side of the tepee. Trace that side with your pencil. It should be a long, thin triangle. This will be your pattern. | |
| 5. Cut out your pattern. | |
| 6. Cut and open your bag or lay out you brown paper. | |
| 7. Lay the triangle pattern on the paper and trace it. | |
| 8. Trace it 3 more times with the long edges of the triangle touching. | |
| 9. Cut out the shape that you have just traced, leaving it as one piece.10. Cut a small door out of one of your triangle sections.. | |
| 11. Decorate the tepee to your liking. | |
| 12. Fold the paper along each pencil line. Then form the paper into a tepee shat. Tape the exposed edges to make it one complete piece. | |
| 13.Snip off the top of the tepee. The twigs will go through the whole on the top. | |
| 14. Tape twigs into place along the folded line. | |
| Your tepee is now complete! | |
