Materials needed:

  • Black construction paper
  • Red construction paper
  • Any other color of construction paper
  • 2 Google eyes
  • Hole Punch
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick

1. Draw a medium-sized heart on black construction paper. Cut out the heart (Note: this will be your pattern).
2. Trace 4 hearts on black construction paper and cut them out.
3. Take one black heart and cut it in half. These will be the ears.
4. Take another black heart and cut it halfway down to the center of the heart. Be sure not to cut it in half.
4a. Then fold one piece over the other piece.
4b. Glue together. This will be the head.
5. Take heart # 4b and glue it upside down with the point touching the head.
6. Take the ears and glue them to the top of the head.
7. Draw a tail on black construction paper and draw a tongue on red construction paper. Cut them out.
8. Use a hole punch and any piece of colored construction paper to make a nose. Glue it anywhere on the face.
9. Glue the 2 google eyes and tongue on the face.
10. Finally, glue the tail on the body and have fun decorating your pet anyway you want.
