Corny the Scarecrow Goodie Can

Directions:

This scarecrow goodie can was made with the materials listed above.  Look at the sample’s photograph and choose colors and supplies accordingly.  You may find the necessary pattern pieces by clicking above.  Print out the patterns and cut them out. Trace them onto the color of construction paper shown in the photo.

The patches (cheeks & nose) and blue paper (overalls) at the bottom were cut with pinking shears. For the hat take the piece of burlap and leave the top edge straight.  The bottom edge should be cut jagged.  Glue this piece to the top of the can, shaping it and turning the brim up to look like a hat. Unravel it here and there to make it look worn.  You can use the threads that you pull out to run through the buttonholes for the eyes and overalls.  The scarecrow’s smile was added with a black marker.  His hair is small pieces of folded paper glued on.
