Find a thick piece of a pine-tree rind in the forest (1).
Shave the form of a hull of a boat that you need, then carefully hollow the middle with the tip of the penknife out. Split a thin twig (2), set a big leaf of an elm, a linden or a maple into it – it’ll be a mast with a sail. Bore a small deepening in the bottom of your boat, but be careful not to break it through. Set the mast with the sail into the deepening as it shown on the picture.
Make a rudder of a flat stick (3 and 3a). Shave it from the both sides. Bore a hole through the stern and set the rudder into it.
Lower the boat onto the water. It’ll float!
P.S. You also can make a captain using acorns, matches or thin twigs and plasticine. Set your imagination free.
